This was one of three sculptures that were commissioned by a customer from Kuwait. It was custom made for a specific location (a large nook in an outdoor brick wall). It was carved from chlorite, which is a type of stone similar to soapstone, but, a little bit harder. It is shown on a pyrophyllite plinth/base, which was included in the sale.
