This young man was carved from Alabama white marble in my studio in Florida. He emerged , after the first cut, already with his personality intact. That happens, sometimes, with Alabama marble as it has such a smooth texture even when it looks just like a rock. My wife and I loved this little guy from the start, with his small smile.
